1. Scope
These general terms and conditions of use ("Terms") are legally binding and apply to your access to and/or registration for the Brussels Airport Lab.
By visiting and/or registering for the Brussels Airport Lab, you acknowledge the contents of these Terms and accept them unconditionally, as well as the documents referred to herein.
2. Company information
These Terms have been drawn up by Brussels Airport Company NV/SA, with its registered office at BluePoint Brussels, Boulevard Auguste Reyerslaan 80, 1030 Brussels and with its place of business at Luchthaven Brussel Nationaal 1M, Compass Building, 1930 Zaventem, company number 0890.082.292 (RPR/RPM Brussels) (hereinafter "BAC" or "we").
3. Definitions
“BAC” or “we”: Brussels Airport Company NV/SA, as identified in Article 2
“Brussels Airport Lab”: the platform for setting up a test panel to test ideas for possible new products of BAC, available via the following website: https://lab.brusselsairport.be
“Customer Service”: the BAC customer service, the contact details of which are given in Article 8
“Privacy Statement”: the privacy statement on the processing of personal data in the context of the Brussels Airport Lab
“Terms”: these general terms and conditions governing the access to and/or registration for the Brussels Airport Lab
“You”: a person visiting and/or registering for the Brussels Airport Lab
4. Description Brussels Airport Lab
Via the website https://lab.brusselsairport.be you can register to participate in a test panel to be the first to test ideas for possible new products of BAC, which is identified as the Brussels Airport Lab.
5. Modalities for participation
Registration is open to anyone interested in participating in the Brussels Airport Lab. However, based on the data provided, BAC reserves the right to decide whether or not you may participate in the test panel or for which test you are best suitable and eligible.
As you will become aware of possible new products and other confidential information of BAC, you must keep the information received strictly confidential and not share it with third parties, unless expressly agreed in writing by BAC.
You cannot receive compensation for participating in the test panel via the Brussels Airport Lab. If exceptionally there would be a compensation, this (as well as the applicable conditions) will be explicitly communicated by BAC. Such compensation can take various forms, such as free products, Hearts within the Enjoy! program, etc.
If you no longer wish to be part of the Brussels Airport Lab test panel, you can unsubscribe by sending an email to lab@brusselsairport.be or by unsubscribing via the email communication. We will then remove you from our database as soon as possible.
BAC reserves the right to discontinue the Brussels Airport Lab and/or ongoing tests at any time.
You must respect the rules of conduct and other conditions governing the use of the Brussels Airport Lab and participation in the test panel. If you fail to do so, BAC reserves the right to refuse your current or subsequent participation in tests and/or to terminate your account, as well as to claim damages if necessary.
6. Intellectual property rights
You expressly acknowledge that the information and data provided via the Brussels Airport Lab are and remain the property of BAC or its partners. All texts, drawings, photographs, images, data, trade and domain names, brands, logos, and other elements of the website, as well as the Brussels Airport Lab itself and the products to be tested, are protected by intellectual property rights. Anyone wishing to reproduce or distribute them to the public must obtain the express and prior written consent of BAC, unless this is not required under the provisions of intellectual property law.
7. Unauthorized use of the website
As a user of the Brussels Airport Lab website, you agree amongst others that you will not:
- wrongfully or unlawfully use the information on this website;
- use the website in any way that may damage or alter it, disrupt its availability or affect its efficiency in any way;
- use the website for transmitting or posting computer viruses, unlawful or wrongfully obtained material, or material that is in any way inappropriate, including but not limited to libelous, obscene or intimidating material;
- use the website in any way that violates the rights of a natural person, a legal person or association, including but not limited to privacy rights and intellectual property rights;
- use the website for posting or transmitting material for promotional or publicity purposes;
- create hyperlinks to this website or insinuate in any way an association or partnership, without the express consent of BAC.

9. Privacy
When you register for the Brussels Airport Lab, BAC may process certain personal data. BAC shall process these personal data exclusively in accordance with the applicable laws on the processing of personal data, and in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

10. Cookies
The Brussels Airport Lab website makes use of so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small data items that we save in the user’s browser or on the hard drive of the user’s computer. That way we can remember the user’s preferences when using our website. Users can change their preferences through their browser settings to disable, reset or block the use of cookies or similar technologies.

11. Liability
BAC is committed to maintaining the safety, security and proper functioning of the Brussels Airport Lab. It cannot, however, guarantee continuous or error-free operation. You agree to use the Brussels Airport Lab at your own risk and that it is offered to you on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
With the exception of proven intentional or gross misconduct, BAC cannot be held liable for any damages that may arise as a result of using or registering for the Brussels Airport Lab, including as a result of participation in the test panel. BAC is also not liable for printing, spelling or other errors or technical problems.
12. Final provisions
BAC reserves the right to modify these Terms and the content of the service provision at any time. In the event of essential modifications, you will be informed of these. These Terms were most recently modified on the date indicated in the header.
Should a provision in the Terms or part thereof be declared invalid, unlawful or unenforceable: (i) this shall not in any way affect or impair the validity, lawfulness and enforceability of the remaining Terms or the rest of the provision; and (ii) the parties undertake in good faith to negotiate in order to agree on a clause that corresponds as closely as possible to the purpose and the intention of the invalid, unlawful or unenforceable provision or part thereof.
Should BAC refrain from enforcing its rights under these Terms, this shall not be considered to be a waiver of this right and shall not under any circumstances extend or modify your rights.
Belgian law applies to these Terms. Any dispute relating to these Terms that cannot be resolved amicably between the parties shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dutch-speaking courts and tribunals of the legal district of Brussels, without prejudice to the applicable provisions of imperative law relating to consumer contracts.
